Opinions on CZ

Greetings Folks

I was looking for input on CZ arms.
I shot competitively years ago in IPSIC & various target shoots. Life got busy & I stopped for many years.

Unfortunately & stupidly I sold off most of my equipment over the years. Les Baer's 45's & 38 supers & Browning Hi Power original 9mm.
Also my rifles A nice match grade AR-15 Delta Match Hbar setup & the Rem 700 varmint I had. Makes me sick to think now All my reloading stuff too:4_1_72:

Anyhow the good news is I can still buy !!
So all I have now is a ratty colt 45 commander SS that I may or may not restore I got from some guy cheap. Also a S&W 422. I kept this for some reason

So I am back at square one & was thinking of getting a nice 45acp & 9mm. I have been out of the loop & these CZ's keep turning up. Are they quality firearms?

Thanks for any input & I am open to suggestions.

Welcome! I have a CZ-75 P01 in 9mm. It works every time and it feels great in my hand. Nice and compact, too.

Heard nothing but good about them - that's why I got mine. I'm sure you'll hear from guys who know a lot more than I do, though. This is a great place for gun info....

Thanks folks sounds good!
You know sometimes a gun just looks like it feels good.
CZ is one of these in my mind.
Glad to hear they are a quality gun.

Thanks again

Ditto. I've shot a lot of other handguns, and the P-01 is by far the most pleasurable to hold and shoot. Never had a problem with it.

Re: Opinions on CZ

I have a Pre-B Model CZ75 and also the .22 Kadet upper conversion.
Either set up is very pleasant to shoot and I have never had any malfunction. The trigger works great in double action, but has a tad of creep in single action. IMO, a great pistol bargain for the money. I wouldn't hesitate if I had to buy another. I also have a surplus CZ70 in .32 ACP (really long and heavy double action trigger) and a surplus CZ52 in 7.62 x 25 mm (Ok for occasional shooting, but the trigger slap becomes painful after 50 rounds or so).
Take care,
Mod1

CZ makes high quality arms.

They make very nice rimfire rifles. While their handguns are well made, they will never have as good a trigger as on a good 1911. Of all the CZ75 variants, the CS75SA has the best trigger.

Now that you mention it, I think it was one of your posts that made me take a look at the P-01. Thanks!:ok:

To break in the trigger on a DA CZ-75 variant you should dry fire it 1,000 times (quite a work out for your finger). Just use one of the little plastic dummy bullets to make sure the firing pin has somewher to land.

PS - You're welcome, Lars!
